Find Of A Lifetime - Sea Glass Dump
This piece was found on my first trip to Seaham England and was the find of a lifetime. Pictured on top - found by Linda Jereb 2006. You can visibly see the patterns of flowers on the inside of the glass
This is what this item was originally, a Glass Dump. Glass dumps were made by glass factory workers at the end of the day to practice their trade. This piece was obviously not up to snuff and tossed into the sea.

Sea Glass Channel Marker Piece
When I first saw this piece I knew exactly what it had to be, a piece of an old channel marker (You know - Red Right Return) Possibly from a large lantern on a boat but because of the location it was found, Oregon Inlet NC, I believe it was brought up during a dredging operation.

Sea Glass Pontil Rod
A great example of a glass tipped pontil from England.
The glass used in tipped pontil's was usually white (as it was a cheaper glass) and molten colored glass would be gathered on the end and worked to a glass object in kiln. You can see by this piece how the rod was pulled as it was being taken away from the item, in this case, pink glass was being applied (TOP)
(BOTTOM) Rare aqua glass pontil with blue glass to be applied)

English End Of Day Glass
Natural sea glass and possibly it's source and old End Of Day Thimble. Glass workers were given "End of day" glass was any item made by the glassworker's in their own time at the end of the day using up the remaining molten glass in the pots. It therefore tended to be a mixture of all sorts of colors.
